Vertiga is improving yield by 7%

By removing dry hops and dosing Yops® into transfer flow, Vertiga cut beer loss and boosted production by 7% on their 20hL system. The result was a fruity, aromatic session IPA with a vibrant, well-defined flavor - achieved without any cold-side hopping.

Created through precision fermentation, Yops® gives you more control over flavor profiles and increases production with consistent results.

The Goal: Brew a fruity, aromatic session IPA without cold-side hopping.

The Process

1. Removed the 4 g/L dry hop.

Decrease risk of oxidation, contamination, hop creep, and simplified production.

2. Bench tested Yops® to select blends and dosage.

Combined to create a layered, fruity profile. Incorporating Yops® blends Citrus-C1 and Fruity-FR1.

3. Dosed 25 mL/hL into flow from filtration to brite tank.

Dosing into transfer flow to ensure proper mixing and homogenization.

4. Yielded 7% more beer!

Achieved desired hoppy profile without the dry hopping losses.

The Results: 7% production volume increase on 20hL and achieved a more defined, explosive sensory profile without dry hopping.

The Beer: “Bali” Session IPA (4.1%)

A golden-yellow IPA with a persistent white foam. On the nose, it bursts with ripe yellow-fleshed fruit, passion fruit, mango, tangerine, and pineapple. The taste is light, soft, and fruity, with a balanced character that invites another sip.
